I was honored to sponsor the Mint Museum Auxiliary's Room to Bloom Celebration this year. One of my favorite events put on by this incredibly talented group of women during the year, is the Spring Symposium. It is the perfect kick-off to the season, and a chance to catch up with friends, family and other designers and female business owners in Charlotte. One of the main treats at this event is a keynote speech by a professional at the top of their field. This year, Frances Schultz did not disappoint. A North Carolina native, former editor of Veranda and author of the best-selling The Bee Cottage Story: How I Made a Muddle of Things and Decorated My Way Back to Happiness; her perspective on how your home influences how we live each day was a refreshingly introspective take on interior design. I was also happy to donate a resplendent cheetah-print ottoman with custom-painted base for the silent auction. What fun it was to see Charlotte dressed in their finest, supporting local artists, designers and businesses, and contributing overall to the betterment of our beloved Mint Museum. Enjoy the photos and stay tuned for next time!
